  • Summit Medical Center offers the latest imaging technology

St. Anthony Summit Medical Center invests in the latest imaging technology to provide accurate information to you and your doctors. Our services are nationally recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR), assuring you the highest quality images, equipment, staff credentials, and quality-related processes, so you can rest easy knowing you are receiving the best care.

Because our imaging procedures are digital, your results are available right away through our picture-archiving communication system (PACS), which helps all the members of your health care team work together to diagnose and treat your condition as quickly as possible.

Results from imaging are interpreted by board-certified radiologists. Our skilled radiology professionals are available 24/7 for consultation.

    Imaging services available include:

  • ACR CTOur hospital offers the new Siemens 64 slice CAT scan to provide the highest contrast images while lowering radiation doses for improved diagnostic confidence.
    ACR MRI

The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an imaging technique that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to form images of the body.

    ACR Mammography

Having a regular mammogram is key in detecting breast cancer early, when it is most treatable. Summit Medical Center provides digital mammography in a traditional or 3-dimensional image for a more detailed view and better detection of abnormalities. The mammography machine uses a similar technique as an X- ray at a lower intensity.

ACR Nuclear MedicineNuclear medicine imaging uses small amounts of radioactive materials that are typically injected or swallowed so a special camera can detect the particles to create images of the inside of your body.
    ACR Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging is produced by sending high-frequency sound waves through the skin and reading the echo or bounce back to form an image of the organs, tissues and even blood flow in the body. Ultrasound is a non -invasive medical test that does not use radiation.

An X- Ray is a photo taken with electromagnetic radiation through the body to capture an image of the internal structures
