About the Department:
The Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy department is open 7 days a week at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center and is staffed by four (4) full time therapists and about 13 PRN PT's, OT's and SLP's through Avalance Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation. Our therapy department continues to grow in all areas of acute care, from trauma, orthopaedics, traumatic brain injuries to general medical. We are proud to say that our speech language pathologists are a part of a swallow study that can be done as an outpatient or inpatient called a modified barium swallow study. Our department also volunteers at the USA Pro Cycle Challenge, the Avon Breast Cancer walk, 9Health Fair, Circle the Summit, Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer, Bone and Joint week, and various fund raisers that benefit the hospital and/or our medical community.
